Gymnocalyciums

Neil Sinclair spoke on Gymnocalyciums. He had last spoken to us in 1993. These plants come from Bolivia and some other South American countries. We heard the history of the genus and also their cultivation. They are easy plants to grow but they are greedy feeders, so they need feeding and potting on every 2 years.

He then showed us some seedlings, sown two weeks ago. Gymnocalyciums have a naked bud and no hairs. This was an excellent talk and was enjoyed by all.
